Priya Raman has twelve years of experience in commercial lines underwriting, evaluating property, liability, and package risks for businesses ranging from single-location storefronts to light manufacturers and contractors.

Underwriting taught her what carriers look at before they quote: construction and occupancy, loss history, controls, and how clearly a business can describe its own operations. She brings that lens to Insurance 8020’s commercial property and liability guides, and reviews business-insurance content so that limits, endorsements, and exclusions are described accurately.

She is especially interested in how small changes, like a sprinkler upgrade or a written safety program, change a business’s insurability.
